About Pride Inside

At a time when building community is more important than ever, Pride Inside is bringing people together to celebrate Pride and LGBTI+ rights and stand up for the people defending those rights.

Now more than ever, we have to be loud together and be proud together. That’s why Amnesty International UK, UK Black Pride, ParaPride and Gendered Intelligence, with support from Stonewall, have teamed up to bring Pride 2020 online with Pride Inside.

We believe everyone is equal, and no one should have to suffer simply because of their sexuality or identity. At Amnesty International, we work with grassroots activists across the world to challenge governments change discriminatory policies. We campaign to protect LGBTI+ activists wrongly imprisoned for defending their rights. We make change happen with one simple belief: when thousands of people unite for what is right and fair, love wins.

UK Black Pride logo

Founded in 2005, UK Black Pride is Europe’s largest celebration for LGBTQ people of African, Asian, Caribbean, Middle Eastern and Latin American descent, and is a safe space to celebrate diverse sexualities, gender identities, gender expressions and cultures. UK Black Pride organises an annual celebration during pride month, as well as a variety of activities throughout the year, which promote and advocate for the spiritual, emotional and intellectual health, and wellbeing of the communities we represent.

ParaPride recognises, at its heart, that all members of the LGBTQ community need to be enabled to participate in order to help to combat these effects, as well as to combat the social exclusion that surrounds being labelled as disabled more generally. People with physical, sensory and mental impairments have been unintentionally excluded from the LGBTQ experience for too long. This needs to change and we are the ones who intend to change it.

Gendered Intelligence logo

The mission of Gendered Intelligence is to increase understandings of gender diversity. Our vision is of a world where people are no longer constrained by narrow perceptions and expectations of gender, and where diverse gender expressions are visible and valued. We work with the trans community and those who impact on trans lives; we particularly specialise in supporting young trans people aged 8-25.
