This panel is a discussion on LGBTI+ Rights and human rights defenders, led by the UK’s all-party parliamentary group for LGBTI+ rights across the globe.

Human rights defenders across the world face enormous challenges in doing their vital work. LGBTI+ defenders in particular face challenges not only doing their work, but also for who they are. As co-chair of the intergovernmental Equal Rights Coalition and a global leader in LGBTI+ rights, members of the APPG discuss the role the UK might play in supporting LGBTI+ human rights defenders globally.
